Homeschool Junior High / High School Open House

Come on down to Phoenix and find out more about what we have to offer! Join a great community of learners! Together, we will explore all kinds of new things and help each other become the best we can! Phoenix was created by homeschoolers for homeschoolers and is run by homeschoolers just like YOU!

  • When: September 4 at 10:00  – 11:30 AM
  • What: Three groups – Junior High (General – Follow APS or design your own) / Junior High in a Box (Our structured program) / High School (Parents and teens working together) – includes a tour, a chance to ask questions, a bit of giggling and loads of information!

Did you know . . .

  • that Phoenix is a non-profit charity? That’s right! No one owns us and we are not “big system education”!
  • we do talks at various Calgary public libraries about getting starting homeschooling? You are welcome to pop into one of those sessions!
  • we offer all kinds of super cool classes for teens – cooking taught by a red seal chef, sewing, wood working, photography, drama and soooooooo much more! Everything is optional!
  • we have a goofy podcast – that’s right! Two old birds (Jill Mann and Diana Stinn) squawking about homeschooling – hey, that’s why we call it the SQUAWKCAST! Check it out here – https://phoenixfoundation.ca/taking-flight/
  • that we were recently featured in the Calgary Herald!
Sounds kinda strange . . . you betcha!
We have a lot of fun at Phoenix!
It is education as it should be – fun, messy and lifelong!
