Phoenix Education Foundation is an Alberta-accredited private non-profit independent school that works with parents committed to homeschooling in Calgary and surrounding communities. Phoenix engages students from Kindergarten to Grade 9 in either parent-directed or school-directed programming to fulfill the Alberta Education curriculum, using creative approaches and distinctive programs.

IT’S A NEW KIND OF SCHOOLING!

From established subjects like Science, Math and Physical Education to less traditional choices like guitar, cooking and sewing, Phoenix Learning Coaches help kids discover their own best learning style.

THINK OF IT LIKE HOMESCHOOLING BUT 21ST CENTURY STYLE!

Phoenix offers Alberta’s only Kindergarten program for homeschooling families, BlendEd and home education options for Grades 1-9, and “In-the-Scene” classes in Phoenix’s Creation Studio, giving students 3000 square feet of immersive instruction in Science, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Fine Arts.

IT’S A CULTURE OF ACCEPTANCE AND LEARNING!

Phoenix students are encouraged to pursue their passion while they “learn how to learn” from our dedicated and qualified teaching staff. More than a school, Phoenix is a community of committed families, staff, and volunteers partnering to bring out the genius in every child.

CREATING A NEW, UNIQUE OPTION FOR FAMILIES TO EDUCATE THEIR CHILDREN!

Firstly, we love the school, and I love the blend-ed concept. My daughter has really enjoyed the mix of coming to a school and taking different classes, being at home and working through things as fast or slow as she needs to and taking random days off to go do other things. There is an incredible sense of community at the school that I think is fostered in the egalitarian relationships that is emphasized/encouraged by the instructors and a sense that we have all purposefully chosen this space as a home for our children. I personally love that the program is aligned and that I’m not trying to figure out what I should be teaching her!”
