Hello From Miss Vanessa!

Hello, Phoenix families! Best wishes for the 2018-19 school year! My name is Vanessa. You won’t see me around at Phoenix much anymore, but I was the music teacher at for eight wonderful years. Those eight years have left me enriched with experiences and stories, and I will be sharing some of those stories with you throughout the year. Names will be changed to protect the innocent, but each story that I share here is true, and took place within the hallowed halls of the Phoenix Education Foundation.

In the process of sharing those stories, I hope to impart a little bit of insight and practical advice about helping your kids develop social skills. The importance of developing proper social skills really can’t be overemphasized. How your children relate to others will determine the course of their future and their quality of life. I’ll be making use of a variety of resources, which I will cite at the bottom of each page, and I encourage you to seek them out and continue to enhance your understanding. When in doubt, always take the word of an expert over mine – I’m just a sentimental former music teacher writing a 40-part love letter to the best job I’ve ever had.

Happy new school year, and I’ll see you next week!
