Online Grades 1-6
Our “Online” program uses our learning management system (Schoology), in combination with great print resources, self guided field-trips and celebrations for 950 hours. This program follows the Alberta Program of Studies (APS) in all subject areas, and is directed by a Phoenix teacher (Learning Coach).
Parents are highly engaged partners in this program. There is a collaborative effort between the home and the school, combining the strengths of parent-student, student-teacher (Learning Coach), and parent-teacher (Learning Coach) interaction. The degree to which parents are engaged in learning partnerships varies with the age of the student, their learning needs and grade level.
Blend Ed Grade 1-6

- reports on progress.

Home Education
K- 12 – This traditional option allows parents to plan, deliver and assess their own child’s education program. The parent is required to provide their certificated teacher (Learning Coach) with a written description of the student’s program for the year, including the subject areas to be taught, the instructional methods, resources and means of evaluation to be used and the student learning outcomes prescribed for a basic education. If requested by the parent, one of our Learning Coaches will advise and provide professional assistance to the parent who is writing the program description.
